Welcome to Music Together® - the world's highest quality, most effective and parent-approved early childhood music program! Carefully researched and developed to support all aspects of your child's musical growth, our program is designed to support the musical competence and musical CONFIDENCE in children ages 0-8yrs.
What Happens in a Music Together® Class?
In your Music Together class, you'll sing, dance and play alongside your child and other families from the greater Edmonton area. Our classrooms support all styles of learning! Some children jump right in. Others watch, explore and find their own way into the music. However your child chooses to respond is celebrated. Our goal is to create classroom communities that immerse every child in the Joy of Family Music!
Why Music Together® Works!
From the songs we sing to the way our teachers guide their classes, everything in Music Together has been intentionally designed for the way children learn music: through play and watching their grown-ups make music! Behind it all is over 40 years of research in music and eary childhood development. The activites invite children in and the music has the variety and quality to keep grownups engaged. As you are drawn into the music, your child will be too!
More than a Music Class
The music doesn't stop when class ends! With the Music Together App and illustrated songbook, it is easy to keep the musical magic going at home! You'll find that the songs will start popping up everywhere - during car rides, livingroom dance parties, silly moments, hard moments, and ordinary day-to-day routines that shape family life. Over time, children come to know music as THEIRS - something that belongs to THEM that they can create and share with the people they love.
Meet Your Teachers
The Music Together YEG team includes professional musicans and actors, seasoned educators and child development specialists. All of our teachers are Certified Level 1 Music Together teachers and have at least 15 years of classroom experience. Our Director - Jodi Howard - has been teaching Music Together for almost 30 years and is accredited with the program's highest level of Teacher's Certification.
